  • Nicholas Theodore Oana, of Hot Springs Village, died Sunday February 19, 2017 at the age of 86. He was born July 10, 1930 in Detroit, MI. With a Master’s degree in education, he devoted much of his time to enriching the lives of others. During his career, he realized a passion for sharing his life experiences with young people. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife, Gloria, to whom he was married to for sixty-two years. Together they traveled all over the United States and to 110 countries.

    He is survived by his wife, Gloria Oana; Godson, Scott Becker (Christine); Niece, Nancy Fryer Smith; Dear Friends Teresa Ross, Mark Tucker, Sandra Zanella, Judi Jason and many, many other friends. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

    He was preceded in death by his parents, Nicolae and Olivia Oana.

    A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 10:00 AM at CedarVale Cemetery located at 200 Minorca Road, Hot Springs Village, AR, Rev. Joe Price presiding.

    A very dear friend for 62 years, sharing many experiences which are now precious memories. Rest in peace, dear Nick, with much love. Dottie

    My children will never forget "Uncle" Nick and his disappearing fingers. They still talk about. I always enjoyed our conversations and friendship. In time it won't hurt so much. Hang in there. Love, Jean
